From the inception of Amicus Law our aim has been to offer a different type of legal service for clients. One based on the simple basis that the law is fundamentally about people – and helping them in the most accessible and approachable way, without compromising the principles of high quality advice and highly personal service.
Getting the law wrong can cost you dear, in many ways, but that does not mean you have to tolerate poor service to get the appropriate advice and support.
We set out to do things differently and give clients an alternative to the formal, stuffy, impersonal legal experience they may be used to accepting, but never really liked. We wanted to:
- Specialise in providing legal solutions to individuals
- Provide a more informal, friendly and welcoming environment to pit clients at ease
- Take time to understand our client’s individual circumstances as well as their legal needs
- Provide solutions on a fixed fee basis wherever practical at the outset of new instructions
- Be a part of and contribute to the local community where we work
- Offer a range of legal services to offer more joined up solutions for clients
- Be flexible in the hours we work to fit in around our clients requirements
Our approach is proving attractive to clients and is helping to make us one of the fastest growing law firms in Somerset. The business has grown steadily each year since its inception and we have now extended our office network to add Yeovil to the Taunton, Bridgwater and Minehead offices, making it easier for people to access our services.
We have extended and developed our services to include a series of specialist sectors, where we can offer a combination of sector knowledge and legal knowledge to deliver a more relevant and focused solution for clients.
As with any people business we are only as good as our people, and their attitude to making sure you get the service you are looking for. We are very fortunate to have a fantastic team of lawyers and support staff and continue to invest in legal and customer service training to ensure our standards remain second to none. This way we can continue to give you the level of expertise and service associated with much bigger firms, but in a much more personal way and without the associated ‘big firm’ costs.
